During OUR lessons I REALIZED ? that Dadaism was a very free artistic concept. For THESE artISTS everything IS / SEEMS TO BE done BY chance, BY accident. IT really changeD the rules of art AT THE time.
My favorite work is a painting BY Jackson Pollock beacause TEHER are just splahes but it is harmonious.
My favorite activity is a moment where words have been cut to make a poem. I like it but It’s UNUSUAL!

What I remember from our lesson are the different ways to mess with words and art to create pieces that express ideas, may they be concrete or abstract. For example Jackson Pollock USED streaks of paint to create intriguing paintings.
My favorite activity was Starry Night Sky by Vincent Van Gogh, and the poem associated with it because it demonstrated how a piece of art can inspire another one and how we can make poetry about anything.
I remember Jackson Pollock, John Baldessari and Dada art because those are artists and works of art that I found smart and well done.

First, we studied calligrams, which is a type of poetry that plays with words: you have to include an original shape and a linked message, which can be provocative, meaningful or abstract.
We also saw how dada artists want to break the rules of painting, writing and thinking, in response to
theWorld War 1. We studied John Baldessari’s work: he incorporates text and photography into his canvases WHICH gives a new definition of what art is. An other artist, Jackson Pollock uses conceptual art in order to be more original and maybe more creative.My favourite activITy was to study John Baldessari: to me, his way of painting is very original because he mixes letters and brushes to suprise us; but my least favourite one was create a calligram because when it comes to drawing I’m not very creative.

From our lessons, I remember a lot of interaction inside the class. We worked again on the dada movement, and a little on the surrealism. It reminded me if my own art History lessons, and my FAVOURITE activity was probably the exchange with another classmate about the life and style of Jackson Pollock, an artist famously known for his innovative style, drip painting. Oh and I liked to do ekphrasis on the Starry Night of Van Gogh, since he’s my fave painter. I also remember calligrams and THIS unique way to make poetry, like chance poetry. ALSO of course the ready-made of Marcel Duchamp. My least favorite activity was probably the first, on the calligrams, because I really don’t like to work with people I don’t know, since I’m really shy and reserved.

I remember that we saw A LOT OF documents on the calligraphy. Some more complex than others.
My favourite activity was Baldessari because he useD the calligraphy and I ENJOYED IT because for me calligraphy is AN artful and visual expression of communication. The calligraphy is , thus, the beautiful writing. Isn’t This amazing ?
WE also saw an artists who is Jackson Pollock. He useD the Universal beauty of splashes IN his work.

I remember THAT DADA movement, from 1918 to 1928, it’s a movement which questionED its area with a goal : destruction. It’s a movement creator of ready-mead with Marcel Duchamp.
We STUDIED calligram, a text shapeD AS an image and a random poem WHICH we created with words CHOSEN BY chance.
I remember of pollock, an artist. He makes abstrait work who shape a maze of differents colors on a giant canvas.
And my favourite activity was random poem because it’s chance which created the work.

It’s The I and The Eye notion, his tittle making illusion. Probably a stranger reflexion or reflection about thing like art, texts… I’ve appreciate the activity when we should create a anagram because of we can imagine like example see in class time. I don’t remember all the artist in the lesson, just Baldessari and his pinting. Pinting in black, yellow and white, the frame within frame and so poems. It was a good notion.

I remember that we did a lesson on the Dada , we talked about some artist.The Dada is an artistic movement made after the world war one (1918-1930).
My favourite activity was when we worked on the poem like Marcel Duchamps because it was fun to let the chance make a poem.

For illustrate our lesson we saw a lot of things like the mouvememt dada , caligrams , other artist with there own artistique vision about this notion.
My favorite things was the dada poem we have to make.

We have work of a calligram and we have try reprodus a calligram with text and d’eau. Work of a mouvemnt Dada. We have cut a letters in an article of magazine. I remember an artist: Baldessari, he point à definition on the picture.

The I and the eye talk about the way the artist see the art , for exemple the calligram who is words of a text and with their we can take a form who represente something.
My favourite is the work of john Baldessari is what is painting who was the definition of art my favourite activity is when we did the dada poem with the help of journal. This work was very passionnant because at the end we had seen that the sentence doesn’t have a mining.
I appreciate the work of Jackson Pollock because his work had many significations that we can do. Each of us had the possibility to imaginate what he wants.
in conclusion i find that this chapitre is very interesting for critic the art and have a personnal critic for artists works

1. From my last lessons i remember that we begun our lesson by the dada’s mouvement created by Tristan TZara late 1918 after the second world war. Then we see conceptuel art, the ready made art. For exemple we studied a painting by Baldassari. Then we see the surrealisme.
My favorite part is the lesson about the dada’s mouvement. Because we can see the troubles of struggling artists after the great war. Artists that i remember are baldassari, Harold, Van Gogh … Artworks that i remember are “what is painting” from Baldassari, …

All I remember from our lessons are;
-the calligrams we saw with originals typography and with some forms like trees, letters, scissors…
-the masterpiece of Baldessari who writes a definition on canvas, that was pretty provocative.
-we also saw a dada poem, it consist on take some random words and pick them randomly.
About all these things we saw, my favorite one was the dada poem because it was a funny thing to do and we saw that we can make something cool by chance.
I didn’t found any activities under the others, I really like all the activities but if I have to choose I probably choose the calligrams but why? it was kinda boring in my opinion.
I remember of Pollock, we saw Van Gogh with starry night and Baldessari with his definition

1/ I remember about The Eye & I that we saw how artists see the concept of “art” and I remember the Word “calligrams” is a Word or a piece of text in which the design of the letters creates a visual image which reveal the meaning of the Words themselves and the concept of “dada” it’s a group developed during the World War I rejecting the Logic of modern capitalist society
2/ My favorite activity was when we do a poem in group with différents Words because we create something with our own stuff

We have speak of the mouvement ” Dada”,
I liked the activity where we wrote a poem about the paint, because we Must to imagine a personal story , vision of this paint.

1) I remember from our lessons the calligrams and we have to do one, the movement of dada which it’s begin on the world war 1, i remember from our lesson when we have done the mental game on Polock. My favorite activity was to play this game on Polock because I am bad for mental game and it is fun for me to do that. I remember Van gogh and his paint, Jackson Polock and his work which is about his historical background with a video where we see him paint above the painting.

1) I remember from our lessons that I realiy like the calligrams part, also when we created the poems, and when we talk about the DADA movement. It’s one of my favourite movement.
My favourite activity is when we had to create a poem with words to find by chance! I really loved this activity because for the first time I felt that I was like an « artist ».
I remember the artwork of Jackson Pollock, he droped paint by chance on a canvas!

I remember from my lessons the Calligram who are created by Apollinaire. After, we have worked on the Baldessari’s painting “What is painting”. This questioned the link between the painting and the writing. We have already worked on the Ekphrasis and Pollock. He has revolutined the maniere to paint.
My favorite lesson was about the Calligram. I liked this lessons because my example of Calligram was a draw like in the old medieval book.

I remember we studied the Dada movement, with calligrams and chance poems, and some paintings
Dada comes from after the second world war, where artists wanted to rebel against society. It’s an anarchist movement.
They use chance to create masterpieces, like the chance poems of Tristan Tzara, or paradoxe like the painting of John Baldessari which represented the definition of Art by have its definition painted on it.
I liked doing the chance poems, it was interresting how a word could mean something in a sentence, but in a complete different one the same word could mean nothing at all, because of the absence of context.

I remember the artwork of Baldessari ” What is a painting ?”. I like this artwork because we can see exactly HOW the artist PLAYED with the people who ARE looking AT this artwork. Also we think that it is a painting but IT’S not. This is a letter which was suited with needle and a threat. > Confusion with ‘canvas’ which ‘toile’ not ‘canevas’ in French? SO this Idea is very INTERESTING because it’s original and the done is here. > Can you explain?

1. We worked about Dada movement. We worked on calligrams and on poetry, and paintINGs BY Pollock (an artist who paints with a special method). We worked about Baldessari with the question of “What is painting?”. I loved the activity when we CRETED our poemS with “random words”, it was very fun, we really laughed when we did that! We loves that because it was creative but without really thinking about it. I remembered Pollock with his painting Number 1; or The Starry Night by Van Gogh.

So, I remember the lesson on DADA movement , on Calligrams, and how to create a poem in calligrams.
I like making a drawing and havING to CREATE a calligram with MY own ideas, I also ENJOY to make a poem out of random words to think about when looking at Van Gogh’s painting.
I love working on these artists and the Dada movement, I discovered Jackson Pollock and a new way of painting that I had not seen so far.

I really enjoyed working on Baldessari as he is a great concept artist and I didn’t know anything about him! I found his work quite provocative and challenging but I liked studying it!
