Should we change schools?

In Germany the timetables are very light however they get better grades than us. So I truly think that we don’t have to work long hours to get good results.

rule
teacher
equipment
food menu
sleeping hour
no limits to student clubs
need to be allowed to cook and sell our own food in school to pay for more school trip
no more running lessons
we check people opinion
i think the choice for after school is too early
we are to young to decide
the contents of the lesson should be less heavy and more about currents events we shloud’nt be evaluated only in terminal
because one year is not in-half to study marketing or management and  makes us feel like all the years before are useless ,to dealete emc , emc lesson should be about news not with history teachers speak about

  1. Yes it have no sense to learn two languages and don’t be really good at them . It’s better to be sure to be bilingual in one and then we can focus on the second

  3. I’d like to change PE (Physical Education ) school system. Today, in France we can’t become professional with sports we do at school.
I think we must do like the American’s system : they organize school competitions to become pro.

And that’s will be cool i we can use our canteen budget to eat outside (in tacos or kebab)

  5. I’d like to share my opinion about a specific aspect of education, that is language learning. According to me, in order to improve languages teaching methods, pupils need to start learning these languages as early as possible. Indeed, the younger a child is, the easier it is for him to assimilate what he learns (this is also why we learn faster our native language than others, which we start learning later). The idea would be, in a way, to have several native languages.
Moreover, in order to permit the students to be more “in touch with” foreign societies, more trips should be organized at school, even though it involves high costs.

  6. We should ban sport because when you are a little bit fat you can’t have tthe same performances than if you’re slim!
So we must have a better evaluation grid or ban sport!

  7. To my mind I think the school level should be not BE GRADED by NUMBERS but by letterS, school is a great source of stress for any student and it’s AWFUL. In France the school FAVOURS success to learning.

    • I think they were talking about a continuous assesment and I absolutely agree with that it’s quite unfair to work hard a whole year if the only exam that really matter is the final one : that’s so frustrating and stressing! However I’d not like to have an exam at the end of each of my highschool years 😨

  8. Final exams are too stressful so we could have an evaluation during the year.🎓🎒📚✏
As theRE are so much hour IN class teachers COULD organize MORE outdoor activities TO :/ RELAX . 🎡🎠🎢

  9. I think that we should have more possibilities to learn foreign languages : first , it’ll be better if we can do more school trips or even , just do exchanges with foreign students and have penpals . Plus , since it has been proven that we can learn better other languages when we are younger why don’t we start learning them at the beginning of middle school or even earlier so we can focus on other knowledge we have to get in high school .

  10. I strongly believe that we should have a specific evaluation grid for each student especially in PE class, where there are inequalities : boys are often unfairly disadvantaged by a harder evaluation grid, whereas you’re not necessarily stronger because you’re a guy, it’s stupid!

    • That’s so true ! And moreover, there is a real problem with PE classes because students’ efforts aren’t rewarded and PE teachers only grade performances and this is one of the most unfair things in High school ! You could die to be well-graded it wouldn’t change a thing until you become an athlete! In my opinion, we should just delete this discipline…

  11. In my opinion, 2 languages to learn at the same time is confusing!
It’s to difficult to learn a language without going in tje country which speaks this language!

  12. Actually, I believe we should rethink the way we consider education.
I mean, nowadays, in the mind of a lot of people, the objective of school is to get a good diploma, in order to find a great job, in order to get a good situation in society… It’s too much of a ”formatting” in my opinion. Let’s take the baccalauréat for example. Since their childhood, pupils are told that, when they grow up, they’ll get the baccalauréat, but first they must work hard for it, just as if the baccalauréat was an ultimate goal in life. Eventually, these last years, about 90% of all people who sat the baccalauréat actually earned it, usually with a distinction, and this diploma almost ends up not having any sense anymore.
We need to keep in mind that the main goal of education should be to help the pupils to find out what truly interests them and how to get where they want to, considering the pupil’s personality. I think that a lot of youths are not guided well enough and aren’t given enough possibilities. Today, pupils are told for example “you can choose between 1st grade S, L or ES. Enjoy.”. But these possibilities are usually very limited and don’t always represent what the pupil truly wants or needs. The student should thus also be motivated to find a school system matching with their personality and their working method. Indeed, not all pupils are comfortable with the quite theoretical learning methods commonly used in general classes. That’s how these people could more easily capitalize on their specific skills.
I know my point of view is not entirely coherent and is missing a lot of crucial details, but this is a general idea, so don’t hesitate to share you opinion about all this.

  13. In my opinion, we can focus on a specific topic that we want to learn and not be forced to do it. So, as we like this topic, we are more focused and lokk for more details if we don’t understand.
As our border countries, we could have less hours in class and thus be more enthusiastic to go to class than when we have a long day.
As in the USA, we could have a ceremony to receive our diploma.

  14. As I see it, French school system is so much based on school programs teachers have to end quick before the end of the year. Thus, we don’t have time enough to assimilate lessons and, sure teachers manage To end their school programs, but it’s useless because we only understand 60% of it :/

  15. We need to change school because in ordinary high schools students can easily be more than 30 in one class. It’s too much as teachers can’t pay attention to each individual.

    • We can’t just blame school for that! Social inequalities and living conditions are a part of this problem because in private schools there are less students in one class and better results than in public schools where the teachers are overworked. It’s a question of money. If parents agreed on sharing the price for a better eductaion then everyone could enjoy a better school system.

  16. I think it’s important to share ideas and opinion with our teachers, especially for the young dropouts who could have a chance to manage and maybe to succeed for the exam and in life. I believe that we can experiment other ways to teach and learn like in Germany for example.

    • What’s more, the French school system favours knowledge over the well-being of students! It’s sad because when we see the other European countries, students look radiant and more curious!

  17. In Spain it’s more efficient to learn lessons because the school system is very different than in France. Indeed students have lessons in the morning and in the afternoon they can practice outdoors sports. So they are more relaxed and learn faster. It’s easier to learn when we don’t have a lot of information and we are more relaxed after sports activities.

  18. Honestly we should change school, the school system today urges us to learn a lot of things in just one day. Most of the time we have to study at night and sometimes it’s too much because the day feels too long, it’s useless to study when we are tired.

    • More sports equipment would be great so we can be closer to other students. When we are outside we feel free to learn, not forced to learn.
